Our story began when he was about to enroll in his first year of college and I was already in my second year. He asked me to help him enroll in the same university I was attending, and we exchanged phone numbers so we could communicate. We already knew each other—we had studied in the same high school and graduated in the same year—but that simple exchange became the beginning of something beautiful. From then on, our conversations never stopped, and soon, he began to court me.

He continued to pursue me with patience and sincerity. He would come to our house, help with household chores, and even work on the farm, just to show his love and dedication. But during those years, I was not yet allowed to have a boyfriend because I was still focused on my studies. Still, he never gave up.

I finally graduated, and he was already in his third year of college. After passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), I said yes to him—and officially, our journey as a couple began.

I decided to go abroad, and our love was tested by distance. We began our long-distance relationship, holding on to faith, love, and endless messages across the miles.

After all the years of waiting and enduring, he proposed to me at Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines. It was not an easy climb, but just like our love, every struggle was worth it.

Our two families were united when his family visited my home to formally talk about our future together—a beautiful step toward forever.

The time has finally come for us to tie the knot and become one, forever.
